The Fritz Ulrich School, a 3-class community school with approx. 450 pupils, will be expanded for full-day operation, expanded barrier-free and renovated.
The school consists of two building blocks from 1965, offset by 1.86 m from each other, which are connected by 3 stairwells in split-level construction and a further one-storey, raised structure built in 2008 with connection via 2 bridges.
As an extension, the inner courtyards between the stairwells are covered and used as areas for all-day use (cafeteria / theater workshop).
The building blocks are accessible with new galleries in the atria and a new elevator system.
The measure includes the constructive and safety-related fire protection renovation. The construction work will be carried out in 3 phases during operation from summer 2020 to 2022.
