Subsoil Investigation/Environmental Analysis Track Loop Langenbeckstr.
The Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG), AöR - hereinafter referred to as the client (AG) - intends to fundamentally renew the Langenbeckstraße track loop.
The Langenbeckstraße track loop is located in the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district and is assigned to the project number A31273. The project area covers the area from the junction from Landsberger Allee to Virchowstraße, follows Langenbeckstraße and ends back on Landsberger Allee.
The track loop serves as the terminus and contains 5 tracks with 6 switches. It is only possible for the trams to drive on the track loop via Virchowstraße, coming from the outskirts of the city, and only to leave again via Langenbeckstraße in the direction of the city out. Three tram lines (M8, M6, M5) end/turn in the track loop.
In 2022, in preparation for the construction project, the existing superstructure and the subsoil for the track loop were examined with regard to environmentally relevant and structural features. The investigations, which are awarded in this tender, serve to specify the environmentally relevant characteristics so that the resulting waste can be disposed of smoothly from the start of construction.
