The contract provides for the award of the contract for three-year care, custody and maintenance services, including health costs, relating to abandoned pets (mainly dogs) and stray animals found in the municipal territory of Capoterra and those already hospitalized at an affiliated facility, according to the requirements of the Specifications. The service includes all the activities related and necessary to the shelter shelter, including the disposal of the carcasses of stray dogs deceased and / or killed by the competent ASL Veterinary Service, the task of providing for ordinary clinical and prophylactic interventions to guarantee the health care and welfare of the animals in question, work to reduce the stay in the kennel.

The service covered by the contract provides for the care, custody and maintenance, including health expenses, relating to abandoned pets (mainly dogs) and stray animals found in the municipal territory of Capoterra, and those already hospitalized at an affiliated facility, according to the requirements of the Specifications, in compliance with the sector regulations. The service includes all the activities related and necessary to the shelter shelter, including the disposal of the carcasses of deceased and / or euthanized stray dogs, provide for ordinary clinical and prophylactic interventions - aimed at guaranteeing health care and animal welfare - and work to reduce their stay in the kennel. The Administration reserves the right to launch an incentive program for adoptions that must be carried out according to the procedures indicated in art. 9 of the Specifications.

The Contractor, as identified at the end of the tender, must transfer at his own expense the dogs owned by the Authority, currently hospitalized in another affiliated kennel, to his kennel or shelter and will also have to carry out the service of hoarding stray dogs on the municipal territory, regulated by the competent ASL.

The Contractor shall operate within the scope defined by national, regional and municipal rules and regulations.

The shelter structure intended to accommodate the animals covered by the contract must be in possession of the requirements provided for by the laws in force on the subject and more specifically the health and administrative authorization concerning the property with respect to the purposes for which it is intended.

Requirements:

• the structure and conditions of maintenance must not be lower than those provided for by regional laws and

implementing regulations of the Sardinia Region;

• the structure must have the ability to return the animal to the owner who requests it, providing for the precise indication of the procedures and methods to ensure such return;

Exceptionally, the contractor may be asked to collect dogs found and kept in private areas (e.g. dogs captured by private citizens). The collection and transport to your kennel are the responsibility of the entrusted company; In this regard, the contractor must have the necessary authorizations for the transport of animals and personnel as well as vehicles suitable for the purpose.
