The Fontys TF building will have to be made suitable for the faculty of BME and the Department of Polymers and Rheology of the Faculty of Me for the ground floor and 1st floor in a creative, efficient and cost-efficient manner. These parts will be temporarily housed here for about 3 years.

The Client is looking for a contractor who can carry out the structural, installation and fire safety measures to make the building suitable for temporary housing.

The Client is looking for a contractor who can carry out the structural, installation and fire safety measures to make the building suitable for temporary housing.

Building Fontys TF consists of 5 floors. For this assignment (temporary housing approximately 2000 m2) only the basement, the ground floor and the 1st floor will be used, the other floors approximately 18,000 m2) will be moved in at a later date with office and educational functions.

Since it is a temporary housing, the current spaces will have to be renovated in a safe, creative, efficient and cost-efficient way. The destination of the building after moving out in spring 2027 is still unknown, demolition is certainly possible.

In addition to the temporary housing, the entire building of 20,000 m2 must be made fireproof:

• Fire-resistant coating of the entire steel structure, columns, beams and wind bandages

• Repair of all fire separations

• Adjustments to prevent fire spread

• Predisposition to complete new BMI and AOI

• Realization of a fire station

It is emphasized that the present assignment concerns all work to achieve the realization of the project. This party is responsible for an integral execution of all work to be carried out.
