The objective of the joint contract is to ensure efficient and simple access to furniture and fittings for offices, schools and institutions for the contracting authority's enterprises.
The need for furniture and fittings is extremely varies amongst the contracting authority's enterprises. There are often different consideration that must be addressed, and there are strict requirements regarding functionalities, durability, user-friendliness, safety, ergonomics and environment.
There is also a major focus on furniture and fittings that can create a homely atmosphere.
For this reason, we do not just want a contract with a service provider(s) that has a good standard range. The contracting authority wants a service provider(s) who has a broad and many faceted merchandise selection of good quality, also including a merchandise selection that can contribute to a lower environment impact.
The contract includes the purchase of furniture that naturally falls under the product areas below:
— office furniture,
— school furniture,
— institution and health furniture,
— internal sun shading.
In contract Annex 3, Price and product form, the contracting authority has specified a representative section of the basic need for furniture that is covered by the joint purchase agreement. The contract scope is not limited to the furniture in the contract annex. The contract scope will include the entire product range of the selected service provider(s) within the above listed product areas.
Exempt from the joint venture contract is furniture that naturally falls under the following product areas:
— institution beds, mattresses and bedside tables,
— furniture and fittings for nursery schools,
— used furniture.
