The object of the contract is the renovation and expansion of the Veitshöchheim fire brigade equipment house (including financing) with a total of approximately 1,460 m², of which approximately 1,075 m² is intended for the fire brigade and approx. 385 m² for club use.

The Veitshöchheim fire equipment store is located on the southern edge of the municipality and directly on the municipal border with the city of Würzburg. It was built or put into operation in 1995. In addition to being used as a fire equipment shed, there is also a hall on the upper floor of the building as an event room, which is accessed via a separate entrance.

There are a total of seven vehicle parking spaces in the tool shed. Six of them are in a common hall and one parking space is located in a separate part of the building. There is also a washroom separate from the main hall. The vehicle hall is divided into other functional areas such as a general resource warehouse, a fuel store and workshops for device maintenance and maintenance of respirators. Further storage areas are located in the basement. There is also a full line for hose care and testing and a full tower for drying the hoses.

The municipality intends to renovate and expand the fire equipment shed for reasons of accident and health protection or from operational tactical and organizational aspects that have potential for improvement or need for action. In particular, the available parking spaces are not sufficient in terms of numbers for the vehicles held. Accident-proof storage of all equipment in the tool shed is currently not possible. Further additional space requirements are considered to be demand-oriented and necessary with regard to storage areas for devices, operating materials and other materials. Another reason for the renovation is the inadequate traffic routes for emergency services when they approach the fire equipment store in the event of an alarm.
