With the programme "Sustainable Inner Cities and Centres", the federal government supports cities and municipalities in the development of innovative concepts and action strategies and their partial implementation. The aim is to support cities and municipalities in coping with acute and structural problems in inner cities by developing them into multifunctional, resilient and cooperative places as places of identification for the municipality. At the same time, the transfer of knowledge between cities and municipalities is to be strengthened. The city of Burg has applied for admission to the federal program "Future-oriented inner cities and centers" with the project "Experimental and Economic Campus Downtown Burg", which was accepted with a grant decision of October 2022.
Lot 1: Concept development "Experimental and economic campus downtown Burg"- Development of innovative concept/action strategy to cope with structural problems in Burg's city centre/central shopping street
- Braking of loss of function and significance, especially in the central purchasing area
The 2: CampusmasterManagement of the business campus by the campus master, especially in the case of
- the implementation of the concept,
- the promotion of inner-city cooperation,
- the initiation of measures of the disposal fund,
- vacancy management,
- Organization of temporary uses and workshops
Lot 3: Implementation of the inner city workshopThe workshops are intended to mark the start of the project "Experimental and Economic Campus Downtown Burg" as part of the federal program "Sustainable Inner Cities and Centers". A two-pronged approach is proposed:
