Advanced Life Support-Simulator

"Advanced Life Support-Simulator

The ALS simulator must enable the representation of complex scenarios for ALS training. The simulator must correspond to an adult person and have interchangeable components (upper body skin, genitals, hair) for the representation of female and male patients. The system must be controllable via the software of a tablet PC (at least 10") on which all controls are displayed on one page. The system must include a second tablet PC (at least 10") whose software allows the display of vital signs. It must be possible to control the second tablet PC via the central control unit. The simulator must allow the use of its own stethoscope for ausculation. The simulator must allow the use of a real defibrillator. It must be possible to create and save your own scenarios. The basic version must include at least six ready-made and fully deployable scenarios. There may be no additional license costs for the use of the software (both the system software and the scenarios). The only exceptions to this are later system upgrades that lead to a significant improvement in functionality. The simulator must have a battery with at least three hours of running time."

In addition to the normal spinal structure, there must also be a spinal structure with a steeper angle of entry. The model must be retrofitted with an ultrasound-capable puncture block. The sensation during the puncture of the dura, during the removal and measurement of the cerebrospinal fluid as well as during the insertion of epidural catheters should be close to reality. The model must have a sitting position. At a minimum, the following applications must be able to be carried out: the use of the "loss of resistance" technique, the injection of local anesthetics, the collection and measurement of cerebrospinal fluid, and the insertion of an epidural catheter.
