1. Information on the construction project

- General description:

The conference and media technology in the group meeting rooms of the Reichstag building was put into operation at the end of the 1990s and renewed in 2006. In the course of technical progress, it is necessary to renew the technical plant components. Speech intelligibility in the halls has to be improved and the range of functions has to be expanded. There are currently eight group meeting rooms: two large halls (CDU and SPD), compared to two medium-sized halls (FDP and AFD) and 4 identical gymnasiums, as well as two press lounges and the press lobby.

In addition to call stations, wireless transmission systems, etc., conference technology also includes system controls, public address technology, etc.

Media technology includes media controls, operations and presentation techniques, playback devices and recording systems for image and sound, large-screen displays and large-screen displays, as well as video conferencing systems, etc.

Technical equipment planning services according to § 53 et seq. HOAI, AG 4, 5 (in particular conference and media technology)

- Performance picture:

A concept study created in advance forms the basis for further planning. The results of the study are to be reviewed with regard to current developments/technologies and updated during planning.

The planning service for the implementation of the above measure includes services according to §55 HOAI 2021, service phases 2 (in part), 3, 5 to 9 as well as special services, HZ IIIu. The scope of services includes the renewal of presentation technology including large-screen display, conference and audio technology, sound system, central technology and network technology, including signal processing. Furthermore, the adaptation of table furniture and connection technologies as well as low-voltage switchgear. Other planning components include adapting the wall panels, ventilation systems and raised floors.

The services are to be provided as a whole, so a structural planner (e.g. architect) and a MEP specialist planner for ventilation systems must be included for building construction and ventilation systems.

In all phases of service, it must be taken into account that the parliamentary operation in the Reichstag building must be taken into account accordingly in the implementation phase. The implementation (LP 8) will take place in 2024 and will share a prefabrication phase with a very high level of prefabrication and a construction phase starting with the parliamentary summer break in 2024. The Lph 8 is to be accompanied by at least two site managers on site.

In order to meet the construction period, the execution may have to be planned and accompanied in several shifts and on Sundays and public holidays.
