In the course of the expansion and renovation of the Aachen motorway junction, road and bridge construction work as well as extensive drainage work involving the production of rainwater retention basins and other structures will be required.
The cloverleaf-shaped Aachen motorway junction, located east of the city area, in which the BAB A4 (Netherlands-Cologne) intersects with the BAB A44 (Belgium-Düsseldorf) and into which the A544 flows from the city area, is being converted to improve traffic flows.
The services advertised here include construction phase 6.2.
In the area north of Aachen AK, the A44 will be expanded to 6 lanes over a length of approximately 2 km to the Würselen-Broichweiden junction. In the course of this, two bridge structures will also be renewed and AUSA lines will be relocated.
The bridge structures are the A44/L223 structure in the area of the Würselen-Broichweiden junction and the Kerstengasse building. The demolition of the building A44/ L223 is advertised separately and is carried out as a specialist lot. The demolition of the Kerstengasse building is part of this invitation to tender.
The renewal of the protective device, the necessary traffic routing, the demolition of building A44/L223 and the renewal of the pioneering signage (VZ sign bridges) are advertised as professional lots and are not part of this invitation to tender.
