The service consists of armed surveillance activities in common areas, facilities and docks not under concession, pertaining to the Port System Authority of the MdSO at the Port of Palermo. The service, to be carried out by means of fixed and possibly dynamic control posts, includes all the services of protection against any intentional unlawful actions for the safety of passengers, crews, ships, port operators, the public, ports and port infrastructures and any other activity aimed at ensuring the regularity and efficiency of maritime transport against any intentional illegal actions, according to the current Maritime Safety Program approved by Ministerial Decree of MIMS no. 59 of 17 March 2022. In addition, the Ministerial Decree no. 154 of 15.09.2009 applies to the service in question.

The service in question is aimed at ensuring public safety in the port of Palermo. The contract includes all the service equipment of the employees for the period in which they carry out surveillance in the port area, as well as any equipment of the car, specifically equipped, training and updating of the personnel employed in the service.

All subsidiary security officers and the Technical Director must be adequately trained in accordance with the provisions of the tender documents.

The estimated cost of labour over the four-year period is € 5,589,000.
