SOLAS has put in place a federated Moodle infrastructure to meet the VLE (virtual learning environment) needs of the Further Education and Training (FET) sector in Ireland. SOLAS requires services to:

1) Monitor, maintain and update the federated Moodle infrastructure, while ensuring continual improvement in performance and usability;

2) Design and implement seamless integration solutions to SOLAS and FET systems and maintain existing webservices integrations between these systems;

3) Provide customization and reporting solutions to increase the efficiency, usability, reliability and reporting of the usage of the federated Moodle infrastructure;

4) Provide efficient, responsive and robust contract management solutions and processes;

5) Provide strategic expertise to SOLAS in designing and implementing solutions for online and blended learning across FET using the federated Moodle infrastructure;

6) Provide training sessions to ETB users.

6) Provide training sessions to ETB users (generally those in a ‘Teacher’ or ‘Administrator’ role on periodic basis.
