Oslo universitetssykehus HF (OUS) has entered into a rental contract with Oslo Cancer Cluster Innovasjonspark AS (OCCI AS) for the rent of premises in Innovasjonsparken at Montebello. OUS'premises are to be established in the building's lamella 3. The premises shall consist of office and laboratory areas on the 3rd to 7th floor as well as secondary rooms in the basement and a footbridge. On the 7th floor the areas shall also include a production pharmacy for cytostatica.
The rented premises in Innovasjonsparken shall be used by the Pathology Department and the Institute for Cancer Genetics and Informatics. These units are currently located in different places and in unsuitable premises. By co-locating the laboratory activities for these units close to patient treatment and the research environment at Radiumhospitalet, improved organisation of sample processing, diagnostics and research production will be achieved. In addition HSE conditions that comply with the regulations for the workplaces will also be achieved.
OCCI AS is responsible for the installation and adaptation of the infrastructure for the laboratories. The delivery and assembly of the furnishings in the laboratories and the procurement and assembly of extraction units and laboratory equipment are not included in the rental contract and are OUS' responsibility.
The project is now in the engineering design and construction phase, with Skanska as the turnkey contractor. The plan is to move into the building in autumn 2015.
Laboratory furnishings, extraction cupboards, safety benches, sterile benches and macro benches shall be procured. See the tender documentation and other documents for the extent.
