Having regard to the request of the ICT Directorate of the Blood and Tissue Bank, regarding the contracting of a service to implement the technological solution "Hematos" for the transfusion and management of milk from the Blood and Tissue Bank, given that it wants to carry out a comprehensive management of the blood process, from the starting point of the donation to the end, which is the transfusion. This is known as a "vein-to-vein" model. This integration of transfusion into the service is an innovative concept without similar references in other European blood banks and that provides an increase in safety, guarantee and good use practices.

The chosen system "Hematos" is the one that offers the best benefits in its entirety and the current information system that exists in the rest of the BST centers does not have the functionalities that "Hematos" offers nor does it allow new integrations.
