In September 2019, the city council decided to set up a day-care center on Brunnenstrasse (Fl. No. 521) as a temporary solution in container construction. The interim system has now been put into operation on time. The permit for interim use, issued by the KiTa supervision of the Neumarkt District Office, ends at the end of 2023.

In the immediate vicinity of the container complex there are three plots of land for the construction of the permanent day-care center. 520, 520/19, 520/20 between Brunnenstraße and Rennbühlweg are available. The building on it (Rennbühlweg 72), since then as a former sports center, from the Schlossspiele e. V. and used as a self-help house, are to be demolished so that there is a total area of 2,512 m2. A day-care facility for children with up to two storeys is to be built on it, with three kindergarten and three crèche groups with the necessary parking spaces and outdoor facilities with play equipment.

The schedule provides for the VgV procedure to be carried out promptly with the aim of awarding the planning contract at the city council meeting in July 2021 at the latest. Planning should begin immediately afterwards, and the building application with the corresponding funding applications should be submitted in December 2021. The start of construction is planned for March / April 2022 and completion in September / October 2023.
