The SWISSINT centre of excellence, which is under the command of the Command Staff of the Armed Forces, has been tasked with the operational implementation of SWISSCOY in Kosovo since summer 1999.
This includes supply flights (twice a week by aircraft with mail and goods from Switzerland) and rotation flights (2 rotation flights per contingent (armed forces personnel) twice a year to the area of operation and from the area of operation back to Switzerland).
The SWISSCOY contingent is supplied with mail and goods from Switzerland twice a week by aircraft. Sending goods and mail back also forms part of these supply flights.
The SWISSCOY contingent is transported to the area of operation and from the area of operation back to Switzerland twice a year on 2 rotation flights each time. Both passengers and freight are transported on these flights.
