The aim of the procurement is to cover the contracting authority's need for electrician and low voltage services, with associated products and materials for the upgrade, repair, and maintenance of buildings managed by the contracting authority, including council flats.

The electrician and low voltage services will typically include the following work:

• Service, maintenance, repair and installation of high voltage

• Alteration, expansion and replacement of electrical distributors

• Installation, alteration and expansion of data dispersion network

• General troubleshooting

• Low voltage installations

• Installation, repair and inspection of charging points for electric vehicles

• Engineering design services for electrical and low voltage installations

• Troubleshooting and improvements to fire alarm and emergency lighting installations

For projects including new buildings, major renovations, and other work on buildings that

include trade services and work in addition to electrician services, this contract can

be used. This is, however, not binding, so the contracting authority can also procure the

relevant services as part of the work in addition to the electrician services.
