Chislehurst & Sidcup Grammar School (Chis & Sid) opened in the Autumn Term of 1931 and has been at three different sites since then. ‘Chis & Sid’ has been at the current site for over fifty years and has undergone considerable building development, which includes a new Art & Technology block.

The cleaning service is currently managed by Ridge Crest and the contract ends on 31.8.2015.

The main aims of the School regarding their cleaning service are:

Effective cover for staff absent that is not just covered by extended hours of site cleaners.

Clearly defined cleaning hours that meet the routine of The School and that are adhered to by all staff (can be different for holiday periods)

All on site supervision (working and non working) to be fully priced and adhered to.

Regular visits from Area Contract Manager, to liaise with the cleaning staff, monitor quality of cleaning and liaise with the Business Manager.

Regular training and development/motivation of staff and effective induction of new staff
