The tender deals with the procurement of a new vehicle communication system. Vehicle communication is business critical and forms part of a complex value chain for all stakeholders in flex traffic. The consequences of operational failure will therefore be far more voluminous and costly, such as by canceling treatments which cannot be completed beyond the direct costs associated with transport. Lack of stable operation disregards the ability of road transport companies to comply with legal obligations to ensure security of supply.
Thus, the contractor's wish is to contract a vehicle communication system that is applicable to mobile devices, is designed for very high operational stability and which supports the passage of passengers at fixed times.
The offering deals with the acquisition of a new vehicle communication system for FlexDanmark.
All orders received for driving to the traffic companies' flex traffic systems are optimized continuously and in real time. This happens as new orders are added, existing ones changed or added, just as events in traffic can affect planning. The scheduling system that creates the driving orders simultaneously handles when to send them. The principle is that driving orders are sent as late as possible, so that there is maximum time for continuous optimization of planning. This is why the process is critical, as system-created delays affect the driver's ability to perform tasks and passengers' ability to be transported in a timely manner.
FlexDanmark's flex traffic scheduling system issues driving orders using SUTI telegrams.
