This assignment concerns the insuring of faultless civil liability due to damage caused to third parties during or as a result of experiments on the human person of which Ghent University and UZ Gent are clients and for which the (favorable) opinion of the Ethics Committee of UZ Gent was obtained, in accordance with the (coordinated) Act of 7 May 2004 on experiments on the human person and its implementing decrees, the Law of 22 December 2020 on medical devices and the Act of 7 May 2017 on Clinical Trials on medicinal products for human use, including legal aid for insured persons.
To be clear: these are experiments by both Ghent University and UZ Gent.
In this competition procedure, insurers are regarded as the only possible parties who can act as subscribers for the conclusion of insurance policies.
