The noise condition assessment describes the compilation and evaluation of noise-relevant information in the national road network. It shows whether the existing noise protection is sufficient or whether further noise protection measures are required. In addition to the determination of road noise, the assessment of noise-relevant aspects with a system consisting of evaluation criteria, grades and corresponding colours is part of the noise condition assessment. This assessment provides an overview of the need for action with regard to noise abatement, as well as its priority, and makes it possible to identify the status and progress of noise abatement. With the entry into force of the NEB on 01.01.2020 and the takeover of some cantonal routes, as well as new network completion routes, the noise pollution register of ASTRA EP F2 became incomplete. The ZEL EP F2 Thun is intended to close these gaps.
