This contract concerns the delivery and installation of a new field emission scanning electron microscope (SEM-FEG) and new analytical equipment (EDS = energy dispersion spectrometer, EBSD = backscattered electron diffraction) which will be combined with it. This equipment will be installed to replace the pre-existing equipment at the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences. The contract also concerns an omnium contract (maintenance/repair contract) for a period of 60 months which will only concern the scanning electron microscope. The installation of the new equipment (Parts 1 and 2) will be accompanied by training of RBINS staff in its use.
The market consists of a single lot. The grouping of the scanning electron microscope and analytical equipment into a single batch is mainly related to the need for technical compatibility between these different equipment. This also makes it possible to obtain a better overall management of the equipment at the time of installation and throughout its life. This lot is divided into three parts:
- Part 1: the supply and installation of a field emission scanning electron microscope (SEM-FEG) and the training of RBINS staff;
- Part 2: the supply and installation of the analytical equipment that will be combined with it (EDS, EBSD) and the training of RBINS staff;
- Part 3: a maintenance and repair contract (optimal coverage) for a period of 60 months for part 1 only.
Further information on the technical requirements is provided in Part B 'Technical requirements', pp. 27-37 of these specifications.
