SWEG Südwestdeutsche Landesverkehrs-GmbH (abbreviated SWEG, hereinafter also referred to as awarding authority or client1) is a transport company with state participation and, together with its subsidiaries, operates buses and rail vehicles for local and freight transport in southwestern Germany. At the same time, the AG also provides repair and consulting services for third parties in the field of local transport.
SWEG intends to introduce SAP S/4HANA as a cross-divisional ERP system in order to reduce manual interfaces, increase the degree of automation and transparency, and make communication channels more efficient.
The subject of this tender is the operational support of the client in the implementation of SAP S/4HANA as well as the optimization and harmonization of technical and commercial processes within the framework of this implementation.
• Provision of the S/4HANA software already licensed by the client;
• Comprehensive parameterization (SAP customizing), modification and extension of the software and, if necessary, individual programming by the contractor;
• Testing, installation, training and accompaniment of the initial operation by the contractor.
The AG plans to replace its current core applications in the following areas:
• Finance / Controlling
• Sales (invoicing and in parts transport contract accounting)
• Human resources (payroll and, if necessary, human resources management)
•Purchase
• Warehouse management – materials management
• Maintenance – workshops
Today, these fields of application are covered by system solutions from various providers.
Of particular importance is the linking of the processes listed in the specifications (Part D, Appendix 04) and the demarcations or interfaces described. The work in the project takes into account the corporate goals and corporate governance structures of the AG and is carried out on the basis of the specifications (Part D, Annex 04) down to the lowest organizational level of the AG.
