Electronic warfare systems and counter measures. Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S), part of the UK Ministry of Defence, has let a Contract with BAE Systems Integrated System Technologies Ltd for the service of modifying the current Submarine Acoustic Warfare Control System (SAWCS) to an 'Open Architecture' version that overcomes obsolescence and interfaces to future systems planned for the RN Submarine fleet. The Contract is for a period of approximately 2 years.
