Engineering and expert services to support groundwater remediation using the Funnel & Gate system, to monitor the bioreactor and to extract tar oil.
From 1913 to around 1930 the Gustav Lang company "Factory for tar distillation, tar products and roofing felt" was located in the Kaiserlei district of Offenbach. During the Second World War, the former tar oil site was used as a dumping ground for rubble and household waste. In the course of investigations on the site, soil and groundwater contamination with organic pollutants - predominantly BTEX and PAK - were found.
