The purpose of this tender is to procure a Translation and Interpretation to CHCP for the period 1.4.2015 to 31.3.2017.

The services provided will ensure that patients, carers and members of the public who wish to access services provided directly by or on behalf of CHCP, and for whom communication in English presents a significant barrier to understanding, have access to a high quality and confidential translation and interpreting service corresponding with their entitlement to prompt and effective NHS services.

The successful Service Provider will deliver the following core services:

1. Face to Face interpretation services;

2. Telephone interpretation services; and

3. Translation services for printed and online material.

In addition to the core services the Service Provider should also be able to provide the following services:

1. Signing (using British sign language);

2. Braille transcription; and

3. Web based signing service.
