Lyngdal and Audnedal are neighbouring municipalities in Vest Agder. From 1.1.2020, the 2 municipalities will merge to become one municipality. The new municipality will be named Lyngdal kommune (municipality). After the merge, the municipality will have around 10 500 residents, approx. 1 000 employees and approx. 15-20 heavy users of finance, HR and payroll systems, i.e. Persons who will use the ERP system in their daily work.

Nye Lyngdal kommune (New Lyngdal municipality) wants to be future oriented with a focus on good service offers and an open administration culture. The municipality will need an ERP system that meets the requirements for the management of municipal payroll and accounts as well as the handling of sensitive personal information, which includes i.a. safeguarding new rules for protection of privacy. Nye Lyngdal will probably also keep accounts and payroll for multiple parties. These will be operated as individual businesses with both accounting and payroll.

The municipalities currently have finance and payroll systems from the same service provider. It has been decided that the new ERP system will be fully operative from 1.1.2020.
