Maintenance services and spare parts for MBB BK 117 D2/D3 (H145) Helicopters

FinnHEMS Oy is 100% owned by the State of Finland. FinnHEMS is a non-profit organisation for providing the helicopter emergency medical services (“HEMS”), helicopter bases and related infrastructure as well as processes for the University Hospital Districts.

FinnHEMS will start operating on the Northern Finland HEMS bases in Kuopio, Oulu and Rovaniemi in February 2022. For this, a maintenance contract for the three bases and four helicopters (one will act as a spare unit) was needed.

The maintenance contract include for the air frame, engines and components the following actions:

1. 24/7 AOG support for all HEMS bases.

2. Daily inspections performed by a licensed mechanic every 72 hours.

3. Line maintenance including defect rectification, performed on the HEMS bases in Finland.

4. Base maintenance.

5. Component support services.

6. Spare parts needed.
