When the Water and Sewage Department works on pipeline installations, there is often a need to take down and then reassemble fences and gates as these can be in the way. The Water and Sewage Department is responsible for putting areas back to their original condition when our work on the pipelines has been completed. The framework agreement shall cover the contracting authority's need for taking down and reassembling fences and gates for site work. The contract shall also cover the contracting authority's ongoing need for repairs to and the assembly of fences and gates on our properties. It is therefore desirable to enter into a contract with a tenderer who can take on this work in cooperation with our employees and any hired contractors.
In addition the department needs to set up or move barriers at sites, the department's locations and in the field. An increased focus on security and shell protection also gives a need for physical security measures such as fences and barriers at the department's properties and installations.
The Water and Sewage Department would like to establish a framework agreement for 2 years with an option for an extension of 1 + 1 year.
