Samferdselsdepartementet (the Ministry of Transport) has named an Expert Committee that will evaluate and provide advice concerning measures for handling of the submarine wreck of U-864, the mercury load and the mercury contaminated seabed around the wreck. The committee will have a secretariat who will be responsible for facilitating the committee's work.
The Ministry of Transport wants a consultant who can take on the assignment of delivering secretariat services to the committee. This includes:
• facilitating the committee discussions;
• contribute with professional basis as wanted by the committee chair;
• preparation of draft to text of the committee's final report;
• to assist the committee with ordering;
• implementation of any external studies, as well as planning and practical implementation of the committee meetings.
The work will start as soon as possible, and the committee must deliver the final report by 1 November 2021. The value of the procurement amounts to roughly between NOK 2.5 million and NOK 3 million excluding VAT.
