As part of the destination marketing entrusted to it, the client creates various print media, such as city maps, city guides and flyers. The publications are issued as product bonuses for the visitBerlin CityCards "Berlin WelcomeCard", "Berlin WelcomeCard all inclusive" and "Berlin CityTourCard" mainly at the Berlin Tourist Information.
The printing services to be ordered include various products, most of which are printed once a year.
In addition to the high quality standards that the client places on its print media, the client is particularly committed to the principles of sustainable action and the standards of environmental protection. The contract is therefore awarded exclusively to print service providers who meet these criteria and can prove that their company has EMAS certification (or equivalent environmental certificates) and that only use FSC, PEFC or equivalent certified paper products for the client's orders.
Division into lots:
The printing services do not have to be provided from a single source: The exact information about the products, print runs and other print-specific information can be found in the "Range of services" appendix. For each print job, the client provides pdf files as templates.
A bid can be submitted for one lot or for several lots. In the case of submission of a tender for a lot, all required information, evidence and declarations for the selected lot must be submitted. If a tender is submitted for several lots, all required information, evidence and declarations need only be submitted once. The bidder must make it clear in the offer letter to which lot(s) his offer relates by ticking a box.

With regard to the manner in which services are provided, the following requirements are still imposed:
Within the framework of the corporate design, the client primarily uses the types of paper specified in the range of services for the print media published by it.
The use of equivalent types of paper is possible for the contractor after the contract has been awarded and agreed with the client, provided that the type of paper offered has the FSC, PEFC or a comparable certificate and the product properties correspond to the type of paper mentioned.
The information in the range of services represents a description of the current stock and only contains a non-binding forecast of the type and scope of the printing services to be commissioned in the future. Particularly with regard to the scope, number of editions and formats of individual objects, there are sometimes considerable fluctuations from year to year. If several print runs per object are specified in the range of services (Appendix 1a), these are to be understood as range values within which the actual print volume per individual call is expected to move. However, repeat orders with smaller print runs are also possible. The estimated total number of copies per year is set out in the notice. Insofar as different formats and materials are specified for individual objects, the client shall decide in the course of the performance period which formats it will commission by way of individual call-off. Under the framework agreement, the client reserves the right to redesign individual print media, to discontinue them without replacement or to launch new print media. Therefore, an individual order is placed in each case in accordance with the framework agreement. A minimum volume of individual orders is not guaranteed.
If the client requests the printing of an object in a print run that is not specified in the price sheet, the contractor shall first submit an offer for this on the basis of the price information in the price sheet, taking into account any additional or reduced costs due to the changed print run. Upon commissioning by the client, the individual call-off becomes binding.
The same shall apply if the Client requests the Contractor to print a new print medium not described in the range of services.
