The AG operates diesel-powered local rail passenger transport. The tender for the supply of the tank containers at the Hagen and Remscheid locations in North Rhine-Westphalia with diesel fuel (according to DIN EN 590) will therefore be put out to tender from 1.8.20. The AG reserves the alternative to diesel according to DIN EN 590 to procure diesel with the additional property fully additive and asks for 2 different prices. The AG makes the decision for one of the two qualities before concluding the contract. The two locations are to be supplied independently by the contractor as part of a so-called vendor managed inventory. The purchase volume in North Rhine-Westphalia is approximately 17,000 hectoliters of diesel per year. The tank containers have a volume of 20 m 3rd (Hagenl) or 35 m 3rd (Remscheid). The tank containers can be delivered by truck via the public road network. The framework contract is valid from 1.8.2020 until 31.12.2022.

Procurement takes place in the so-called vendor managed inventory model. The client notifies the contractor of the level limits for the tank containers on one side. The contractor equips the tank containers with electronic and remotely readable devices for level measurement. Using this, he independently tracks the fill level and ensures that the fill level is not exceeded. Diesel pricing is based on the current OM R listing in the West region and a fixed location surcharge. In addition to pricing based on the current OMR quotation, the AG must be given the opportunity to fix diesel quantities on the futures market.
