Design and construction services

The subject of the award procedure is the planning and turnkey construction of a multi-storey car park on the grounds of the University Hospital with approx. 400 parking spaces.

The University Hospital Tübingen operates the multi-storey car park of the Medical Clinic P5 in the Berg Hospital. The multi-storey car park is located in Otfried-Müller-Straße. It was built in 1990 and extended in 1999 and serves as a parking facility for patients, visitors and staff. Access to the car park is via a separate driveway from OMS street. A separate exit is available for outgoing traffic. The building is accessed for pedestrians via two external stairwells. An elevator is available. The multi-storey car park consists of a total of 4 parking levels. The older building was built in a so-called split-level construction method, each with half-storey staggered ceiling levels. These are accessed via separate access and exit ramps. The newer stock is connected to the long side. The roof is extensively greened.

Both parts of the car park are in good structural condition. The current capacity is 822 pitches spread over 4 levels of approximately 4760 m² each.

Due to the increased number of outpatients and inpatients, the P5 multi-storey car park on the Schnarrenberg is to be expanded by approx. 396 parking spaces. It is currently planned to submit a preliminary building application based on the planned 396 parking spaces. Depending on the decision of the approval, the number of parking spaces may be reduced/changed again. The expansion is to take place over the eastern and younger part to the open area in a southerly direction. To the west of the planned construction site is the Nuclear Medicine Clinic with an adjoining patient garden. The extension in the form of a new building is intended to function as an independent multi-storey car park without a direct connection to the existing building. In the future, it will only be used by employees of the hospital and will have its own entrance and exit. The extension is said to be suitable for retrofitting PV modules on the roof surface. For the number of parking spaces required by GEIG, the appropriate infrastructure for retrofitting e-charging stations for cars must be provided. The expansion will take place during ongoing operations, and the loss of parking space and the impairment of the Clinic for Nuclear Medicine are to be reduced to a minimum during the construction phase.

The award procedure is subject to the approval of the financing (cost estimate) by the Supervisory Board. The decision on this is expected to be made in [].
