Description:

The Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research (NIBIO) was established 1.7.2015 from a merger between Bioforsk and the Norwegian Agricultural Economics Research Institute (NILF).

Bioeconomy is based on the exploitation and management of biological resources from the earth and sea, instead of fossil economy, which is based on coal, oil and gas. NIBIO shall be a national leader for the development of knowledge on bioeconomy.

The institute shall, through research and the production of knowledge, contribute to food safety, sustainable resource management, innovation and value creation within the value chains for food, forest and other bio-based businesses. The institute shall provide research, management support and knowledge that can be used in national standby, management, business, life and society in general. NIBIO is owned by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food as a management organ with special powers and its own board of directors. The main office is in Ås. The institute has several regional units and a department office in Oslo.

Description of contract:

NIBIO invites tenderers to a contest for framework agreements for analysis services.

NIBIO will have a great need for analyses for our projects within research, reports, monitoring and for consultancy assignments. Analysis data is often included in scientific reports and published nationally and internationally, so there are, therefore, particularly high requirements for the quality and reliability of the data. This activity also profiles the supplier as the analysis laboratory and methods are normally stated in our method descriptions. Tenderers must therefore document that they have the necessary staffing, equipment, routines and systems that will ensure that the analyses are of high-quality. The contracts shall cover the following analysis categories: water, plant materials, food and nutritions, soil/sediment/organic material and coarse feed. The contracting authority carries out analyses over a broad spectrum and is continually getting new projects, both in familiar and unfamiliar areas. It is therefore important to join up with a service provider who is flexible and who understands that the contracting authority cannot specify all the sub categories, packages and individual analyses covered by the contract when the notice is published.
