Planning and engineering services for the construction of a passive NGA network infrastructure (FTTB) to develop undersupplied areas (white spots) in the city of Ellwangen, including other services.
The project is funded by federal and state funds (BW).
Rough quantities of the construction work to be planned according to the rough planning:
- route length in paved surfaces: 18 324 m,
- route length in unpaved surfaces: 11,969 m,
- Cable length: 7 408 m,
- Number of house connections: 373 pieces,
- Number of pre-stretching: 341 pieces,
- Number of technical buildings: 25 network distributors, 2 MFG.
The city of Ellwangen is planning to set up an NGA network (FTTB) to remove any remaining “white spots”. As part of the federal funding program “White Spots”, the city of Ellwangen receives funding in accordance with Guideline 3.2 for funding to support broadband expansion in the Federal Republic of Germany. The rough cost estimate for fiber optic expansion FTTB from October 9, 2020 shows the total eligible costs of EUR 5,400,910.14.
The current expansion concept was developed in October 2020 by the engineering office Dr. Först created.
The city of Ellwangen is a member of Komm.Pakt.Net (municipal pact for network expansion, municipal institution under public law, Neue Straße 40, 89073 Ulm).
The network operator is NetCom BW GmbH, Unterer Brühl 2, 73479 Ellwangen.
In the course of the expansion of the backbone and various co-relocations, routes have already been created and some of them have been put into operation. The existing routes are to be integrated into the planning. The data is provided by the municipality as a shape file.
The content of this tender is a complete plan for an operational, passive network that is ready to be handed over to the network operator. This includes in particular all planning and engineering services for the necessary civil engineering, the pipe system, surface restoration as well as the necessary distribution facilities (network distributors, shafts, sleeves, etc.) and house connections up to the transfer point at network level. Furthermore, the necessary planning and engineering services for the cable system including fiber planning, sleeves, equipping the distributor locations with passive technology (multifunctional housing, point of presence) as well as the necessary power connections.
The networks should be prioritized according to sub-sections and must be completed in advance for each section. This is to ensure that the processes (especially documentation) work.
