Sustainable Urban Guidelines Development Services
During the implementation of the General Plan of the Territory of the Republic of Lithuania, sustainable city guidelines are prepared on increasing the quality of the living environment, increasing greenery, sustainable mobility, promoting responsible and sustainable consumption, reducing waste, air, water, sound pollution and the impact on climate change, and increasing resilience. The guidelines set out priority directions, principles and indicators (qualitative/quantitative criteria) for the sustainable development of cities of different sizes and types in order to increase the sustainability and quality of life of cities. The guidelines are a means of visually modelling the possibilities and needs for the development of urbanized areas, more clearly determining the directions of territorial development and planning of urban areas. The purpose of the guidelines is to create a balance between the anthropogenic and natural (including anthropogenic) environment and the balanced sustainable development of these areas.
