In accordance with the resolution of the Finance Committee of the City of Munich of 27.07.2021 and confirmed by the General Assembly of 28.09.2021, the transfer of the Thalkirchen campsite in hereditary lease to MRG – Münchner Raumentwicklungsgesellschaft mbH was decided and MRG was commissioned with the further planning and implementation of the renovation and revitalisation of the Thalkirchen campsite in accordance with the rough concept presented by the MRG.
The planning goal is a modern urban campsite with a solid 3-star standard and a focus on urban tourism while maintaining current capacities. As an urban campsite, all requirements for sustainability, ecology and inclusion are to be met.
It is planned to dismantle and rebuild the entrance building and sanitary building 1, as well as the renovation of sanitary building 5 and the construction of a minimal sanitary building with expansion option in the north. The other existing sanitary buildings as well as dormitories and staff accommodation are to be demolished. In addition, the network of paths, the fresh water and sewage network, the surface drainage and the electrical engineering are to be renovated. In the camping area, additional capacities for megaliners and "dry" huts are to be generated. Leisure, gastronomy and mobility services are also to be revised in line with user needs and city tourism.
The entrance building and the sanitary building are classified in the Fee Zone II Technical Building Equipment Planning with eligible costs of approx. € 305,000 and € 407,000 net and the fresh water and wastewater network in Fee Zone III Civil Engineering Structures with eligible costs of approx. € 1,680,000 net.
