Current innovation and structural change in education are largely driven by digitization. Digital and increasingly complex structures and offers are emerging in all areas of education, including through various funding projects and measures of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The added value of these developments can only be fully exploited if technical or education-specific silos are broken down and potentials are raised through multi-perspective networking.

With the National Education Platform (NBP), the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) wants to give a strong boost to the digitization of education in Germany and then consolidate the momentum gained. The leitmotif of this digital ecosystem is the facilitation of a lifelong educational journey, in which the NBP provides a secure, smartly networked system that enables the linking of decentralized content, various digitally supported services and data.

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) is setting up a Dynamic Procurement System (DBS) in accordance with § 120 GWB in conjunction with §§ 22ff. VgV with a time limit for the period up to 31.12.2023 for the establishment of the National Education Platform.

The object of performance is the development and adaptation of software based on agile development methods by providing interdisciplinary development teams.
