The structure 4989 Bramke bridge in the course of the L517 transfers the Okerstausee near the village of Schulenberg in the Upper Harz Mountains in the Harz Nature Park.
There is a static check of the superstructure based on the recalculation guideline for a limited remaining period of use. Under the condition of annual special tests of the deck, the bridge remains under traffic, but a progressive expansion of the damage pattern is determined. There is a load limit (bridge class 24). The bridge is closed to heavy traffic and there is also a speed limit of 30 km / h.
The existing substructures are currently being checked and assessed with regard to further use. The result is still pending and is expected in October 2020. At the current time, it is assumed that the substructures will be retained and can continue to be used. This result of the examination of the continued use of the existing substructures flows as a basis for the planning services to be commissioned. The expert opinion will be made available to the bidders with the invitation to tender.
The width of the new superstructure will be adapted to the current road planning specifications. The existing width of 9.50 m will increase.
The dismantling of the existing building is part of the planning order.
The protection of the upper reservoir (water protection zone IIIa) during the entire construction period (dismantling and new construction) must be included in the planning and agreed with the client.
The total cost of the construction project is estimated at EUR 10 million (gross).
