North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) is managing this procurement process for and on behalf of NHS England — North (Cumbria and the North East) seeking to procure Dental Services at HMP Haverigg.
The aims of the service are to provide a high quality primary care dental service that is preventatively focused and meets the needs of prisoners within HMP Haverigg. The service will also aim to improve oral health and reduce oral health inequalities and deliver improved prisoner outcomes including improved access to oral healthcare for the prison population.
The objectives of the prison dental service are:
To provide a high quality, evidence based flexible, responsive and equitable service for 52 weeks a year which has parity with general dental service provision and meets the needs of prisoners.
