The purpose of this tender is to select insurers to participate in the Framework Agreement for the WGA ERD insurance on the basis of the set criteria and suitability requirements.

18 participants participate in the Framework Agreement. These participants intend to request a WGA-ERD insurance offer from the Tenderers for the Framework Agreement through subsequent mini-competitions. However, a characteristic feature of the Framework Agreement is that participants (Contracting Authorities) do not have a purchase obligation.

The total value of the Framework Agreement is rounded up to € 9,700,000,-. The value of the contract is determined by the aggregate value of the contracts estimated under the Framework Agreement, including the Contracting Authorities, which are included as a 'backstop'. The estimated value was established by multiplying the total wage bill by an average premium percentage based on knowledge and experience of the private market premium for WGA ERD insurance multiplied by factor 4, in accordance with Article 2.17 of the Public Procurement Act 2012.
