Firewall

Through the implementation of the projects of the Hospital Future Fund (KHZF), the Harzklinikum plans to expand the digital infrastructure to improve internal, intra-sectoral and cross-sectoral care for patients and to strengthen the company's information and cyber security. The project is part of the project for funding via funding element 3 "Digital Care and Treatment Documentation" according to KHZF and serves to improve information security. As part of an analysis of the existing network and firewall topology, the client had a firewall concept drawn up, taking into account the requirements for IT security, among other things on the basis of the verification procedures according to § 8a para. 3 BSIG with the aim of meeting the constantly increasing requirements for information security. In order to be able to detect potential attacks within the infrastructure and react to security events, the introduction of a next generation firewall based on the recommendations is necessary.
