I/S Vestforbrænding offers three turnkey contracts for the establishment of district heating in (i) Ballerup and Herlev municipalities, (ii) Lyngby-Taarbæk and Gladsaxe municipalities and (iii) Furesø, Egedal and Frederikssund municipalities. The turnkey contracts cover the design and execution of district heating including connection works to and with customers in the municipalities concerned.

With the Heat Plan 2030, I/S Vestforbrænding will have established district heating supply to approx. 30,000 new customers by 2030 in seven municipalities. The expansion will be carried out in two stages, where stage 1 will now be initiated.

The work includes the overall establishment of district heating supply networks in 15 energy districts in Ballerup and Herlev municipalities. The districts are laid out as 6 bars of net exchanged from 25-16 bar supply points. There are a total of approx. 3200 potential customers in Ballerup municipality and approx. 2700 potential customers in Herlev municipality. Larger customers (consumption over 40MWh/year) do not have to be connected, but are included in the dimensioning, and service lines must be set aside for cadastral boundaries.

The turnkey contract generally includes the following services:

Design: Based on the tender documents, the turnkey contractor must design the covered works (connection to supply point, exchange stations, distribution lines, service lines and customer installations) and in this connection be responsible for all contact with relevant authorities, including securing the necessary regulatory approvals for the execution.

Execution: The turnkey contractor must carry out all necessary work, including the establishment of connections (main lines) to supply points and exchange stations, the establishment of distribution lines as well as the establishment of service lines to customers and the establishment of installations at customers' premises.

Customer management: The turnkey contractor must be in charge of contact with customers in connection with the planning, design and execution of works on the customers' properties. I/S Vestforbrænding is responsible for the initial sales work with customers until the conclusion of a supply agreement with the customers and delivers this customer information to the turnkey contractor.

In addition, a district heating main line will be established between I/S Vestforbrænding's existing main line at Måløv Spidslastcentral (MSR) in Ballerup Municipality and via Egedal Fjernvarmes, EF Maglevad Centralen, up to I/S Vestforbrænding's future energy centre in Frederikssund.

It should be noted that I/S Vestforbrænding has had preliminary design of the main pipeline carried out, and the design must be based on the project information included in the project descriptions for Frederikssund and Egedal.
