Karlshamn Energi Vatten AB is a municipally owned subsidiary, organized under the parent company Karlshamn Energi AB, since 2019. Karlshamn Municipality has gathered all its wholly owned companies within the Stadsvapnet group in Karlshamn AB. The companies are 100 percent owned by Karlshamn Municipality and the Municipal Council appoints a board of directors and gives ownership directives. Karlshamn Energi Vatten AB has since the incorporation in 2019 acted as a water and wastewater principal.

The project includes a complete new surface water plant, raw water station at Långasjön and wiring within the designated area.

The project is expected to last for about 5 years and be able to start no earlier than autumn 2022.

The client has decided to carry out the project in increased collaboration with the contractor in order to direct costs and quality towards set object-specific goals and to utilize common experiences, innovations, efficiency improvements, etc.

The contract constitutes a turnkey contract with increased collaboration between the parties (so-called partnering). It will be carried out with the observance of the following phased classification:

Phase 1 Constitutes an investigation and design and calculation phase with ABK 09 as contract terms. During Phase 1, the Contractor is responsible for all documents that are produced, (system documents, calculations, detailed design) in collaboration with the client as an examiner and requirement setter. The contractor is also responsible for producing an implementation plan, production schedule and detailed production cost estimate.

Phase 2 Constitutes the construction and implementation of the project. The regular operation of the existing waterworks will continue during the implementation of the work.
