The Berggarten is a listed botanical garden in Hanover, Germany. Around 12,000 plant species from different climate zones can be found in the show houses and themed gardens, including one of the largest permanent orchid exhibitions in Europe. It is intended to build a new exhibition greenhouse (= large show house).
The show house is subject to special conditions: maximum light input, warm and humid room climatic conditions, intensive greening, earth contact with the grown soil for the habitat of plants and butterflies. In the operation of the building, permanent humidity or dryness, different temperatures, the use of fertilizers, the presence of insects, plant excretions, as well as UV radiation are to be expected. The building has a partial basement.

The new large show house to be built is a frame structure made of steel:
Load transfer and bracing mainly from the main columns - inside, as well as the external columns in different dimensions and various connecting beams, frame supports placed on the façade also carry loads, the circumferential edge girders unite the façade and roof elements. Total length approx. 800 m.
