The Contracting Authority hereby invites tenderers to a competition for the contract ‘Construction works’ in the project Kobkroken Transformer Station.

Varanger KraftNett AS has been granted a licence for construction and operation of the new indoor Kobkroken Transformer Station in Berlevåg kommune. C.f. resolution: NVE 201102457-104 of 3.7.2015. An additional application as been sent in connection with amending the technical design of the new Kobkroken Transformer Station in relation to the license given, and new NVE authorisation is expected by the planned start of construction on the station.

The start of the project is planned for 1.4.2017 and the building should be sealed and ready for delivery of the electrical systems and transformers by 31.12.2017.

For further information about the project, contract division and the contract work, interested tenderers are encourages to register their interested to participate in the competition and send in documentation for pre-qualification. Invited tenderers will receive part II of the Contract Documentation.

The construction of a building with a footprint of approx. 465 m2 is is being planned. The building has 1 floor, with sunken culverts for cable runs. Sloping roof construction with varying internal ceiling height from 3.5 m to 7.9 m.

The building shall contain rooms for transformers, apparatus and control installations, gas isolated switch gear system, as well as a living room, toilet and reserve storage/garage.

The roof will be executed in several levels, over transformer cells and side building. Light roof elements are planned to be laid on top of concrete walls and steel constructions. The side building is to have outer walls of insulated stud work on a concrete parapet. The transformer cells and dividing walls are to be constructed in reinforced concrete.

Cable basements and culverts, as well as pits in the transformer cells, executed in reinforced concrete. An external oil recovery pump below ground in reinforced concrete.
