Description:

The contract is for the provision of services of an Integrated Design Team. The team will consist of a lead consultant who will provide both architectural services and principle designer services and several sub-consultant disciplines to include mechanical and electrical engineering services, civil and structural engineering services and landscape architect services. This team will be procured to provide these consultancy services based on the 2013 RIBA Plan of Work for the design and construction of the Northern Ireland Graduate Entry Medical School (NIGEMS) in the North West of Northern Ireland.

The proposed Northern Ireland Graduate Entry Medical School (NIGEMS) will provide accommodation to facilitate the development of highly competent graduates, who will be confident and skilled to practice in the health services of the future. The NIGEMS will align strategically to the needs of modernisation of medical care through the improvement of standards, specialisation of medical practices, while introducing new technologies and skills to meet the healthcare needs of an increasingly ageing population. Students will receive a high quality medical education in a research-rich environment that prepares them for lifelong learning, reflective and safe practice and continuous quality improvement.
