In order to guarantee the continuity of ferry services, GVB has a permanent staff and a flexible (hiring) staff. For the implementation of flexible staffing on its ferry connections, GVB Veren is looking for a supplier of flexible personnel to be deployed temporarily for the position of skipper and ferry operator for the following roster services:

a) complete services in case of absence or leave (if not possible in another way);

b) filling in services of the rental fleet (sometimes at short notice);

c) fill in the reserve skipper's services;

d) exploitation of the Nachtelijk Westveer;

e) operation of rush-hour services (Velserpont);

f) exploitation during a major event (such as King's Day, festivals);

g) operation as an alternative to tunnel maintenance (such as Velserpont).

Lot 1 IJ-Veren: 20,100 skippers and 760 ferry operators.

Lot 2 NZK Veren: 6,160 skippers and 9,040 ferry operators.
