A procurement ring coordinated by the West Ostrobothnia District Local Government Consortium Auxiliary Center is requesting your offer for pressure support I and II medical support socks and sleeves for the period 1.1.2020-31.12.2021 and any options for the period 1.1.-31.12.2022 and 1.1.-31.12.2023.
Following this call, 1 supplier will be selected to supply all requested products in pressure classes I and II, both finished and bespoke.
The need for medical stockings and sleeves may be caused by a severe disability / swelling problem associated with the underlying disease, painful varicose veins, skin changes, pigmentation, thinning skin that can lead to leg ulcers or wheelchair para or tetraplegia with no lower limbs. Medical Compression Socks and Sleeves are also used to treat venous problems in accordance with the Current Care Recommendation. Medical support socks and sleeves require a gradual decrease in body pressure. There must be high, medium and low elastic products available in different pressure classes.
The current care recommendation defines pressure classes I and II for medical support socks and sleeves as follows:
- pressure class I = 15-21 mmHg (+/- 1 mmHg)
pressure class II = 23-32 mmHg (+/- 1 mmHg).
Finished and custom made products must have at least sizes S-XL, short and long in size, with and without silicone edges and open and closed toe socks, with palm and hem at sleeves. See. for a more detailed breakdown of the required features, see Acquisition Criteria.
The products offered must meet the mandatory requirements for procurement. If not all mandatory requirements are met, the offer will be rejected.
