The Operational Support Programmes acquire and support a wide portfolio of equipment and services, divided into 4 areas: The Operational Infrastructure Programme (OIP), Operational Support Vehicle Programme (OSVP), Protected Mobility Vehicle Programme (PMVP) and Mechanised Infantry Vehicle (MIV).

OIP, OSVP, PMVP and MIV have a legal responsibility for ensuring that their equipments are safe, tolerable and As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP) for use and have the requisite safety and environmental management processes and documentation in place. This is an iterative process.
